Sesame Balls- Dim Sum
Posted by Megan On February 27th, 2012
YUM- Sesame balls filled with red bean paste. These are from Lao Si Chuan, a Chinese restaurant off of N Military in San Antonio. They’re great because they’re about the size of a ping pong ball and come in an order of 10 (3 orders pictured above… me and my friends each got one! haha) I always take some home and warm them up in the toaster for breakfast

Scrabble Cake
Posted by Megan On May 28th, 2011
Hey everyone!
I thought it would be fitting for my first post to be a birthday cake!
I made the cake out of Pillsbury Devils Food Cake mix, but instead of baking it in a 13×9 pan, I used the biggest sheet pan I could find in my house and reduced the bake time to 20 min.
For the decorations I layered the cake with a thin layer or icing, then almond paste and then fondant, all bought pre-made and ready to use.
For the scrabble tiles, I cut graham crackers into quarters and decorated them with royal icing or decorating icing above can be bought at any grocery store in the baking aisle!
Enjoy
