We are here to help you find a quick and easy way to make your juicer machine tidy and clean.
Why is it important to clean our juicer machine?
As we already know, all parts of the fruits and vegetables that are squeezed go to the bin of juicer.
As the product travels from the part where it enters the machine to the knives and in the end the bin, it disposes and sticks to the walls of our juicer.
The main reason why we are doing this is the same as why are we drinking the juice – health.
Leaving your juicer uncleaned gives a place for bacteria to grow, and leading from here our health is endangered.
Removing all of the leftovers should be part of the cleaning routine. Here are a few tips to get your juicer machine clean all the time.
What You Need To Clean A Juicer
- A soft brush
- A hard brush, to scrub
- Nail brush (teeth brush can do the trick)
- Soft cloths
Easy tips to clean juicer buildup and remove tough stains
The first thing we want to do is be safe and unplug the juicer.
After unplugging it we need to disassemble all parts of the machine.
Start from the bin part, where we have our pulps stocked, and throw it in your home garbage.
The next thing we should do is to wash all the parts that we already disassembled.
Using the nail brush or toothbrush we mentioned before, we clean the small areas or holes where other brushes can’t fit. If this doesn’t help you, try using any smaller brush, so unreachable areas can be clean again.
Filling our sink with water and soap can help disinfect and make it easier to clean.
Soaking each part of the juicer for a few minutes will do a really nice job helping us scrub with a brush or cleaning with a soft cloth.
We have to pay very close attention to the mesh strainer since it can be filled with pulp and debris, taking us more time to clean than necessary. We have to clean that, too!
Using a soft cloth or a sponge we wipe the whole machine.
Even if you think the fruits have a specific route in order to be clean, the pulp actually ends up everywhere inside our juicer.
Let everything dry for a few minutes, or wipe with a towel.
Assemble your juicer, and you are all set for your next dose of vitamins!
Removing Tough Residue
In case you haven’t read our article before, and you let your juice machine dry, making it harder to clean, we have the solution for you.
What will we need in this case?
Again, just a few things:
- White vinegar
- A bowl
- Spray bottle
As we mentioned before, unplugging the juicer is the first thing you want to do.
To get it as clean as possible, do all the things we told you earlier: detach the parts that are still dirty or have some residue on them.
Put them in an empty sink, or bowl.
Get the white vinegar and milk and pour them in equal quantities. If you don’t have the two ingredients, using just one will do the same job.
If you don’t have enough white vinegar or milk, you can pour a small amount into the spray bottle, and start cleaning.
With a few sprays of the ingredients or mix, you can remove the dirty parts, making it easier to clean and scrub away.
Another way to get the job done is by using saltwater. Warm up as much water as you need and add a teaspoon of salt for every quart of water. Stir and mix until the water becomes one with the salt.
Soak the parts of the juicer in the new water and salt mix, as long as the residue needs to get softer to be cleaned, and just scrub it away.
