I’m back! Salmon Cakes
July 17th, 2012
Well I’ve been on vacation for a while, but now im back and making some more delicious food.
Salmon Cakes
Salmon, dill, 3-4 cloves of garlic, 1/2 of an onion, 1small tin of sliced water chestnuts, a pepper, 1egg and breadcrumbs.
Dice onion, garlic, chestnuts and pepper into small pieces. Then cut the salmon into about 1cm cubes. Mix everything together (including 2 tsp of dill). Season with salt and pepper. Add the egg and a handful of bread crumbs at first. Don’t add too much or the mixture will get dry.
When you have a slightly sticky mixture, spray your baking sheet with oil and make tennis ball sized salmon balls. Place on sheet and gently press down.
I added some bread crumbs on top for an extra crunch to do this… Mix plain bread crumbs with dill, salt and pepper. Sprinkle on top of each cake and gently press down. Spray the tops of the salmon cakes with a little more oil. Bake for 20min at 350 and then 5-7 min at 450 so that the cakes turn golden brown.
Serve with sauce:
My sauce had sour cream, 1 lemon, dill, garlic powder and onion powder.
Enjoy
It’s hard to come by experienced people about this subject, but you sound like you know what you’re talking about!
