Have you ever found yourself in a dilemma about two products that are similar and different at the same time?

You read or hear many user experiences and reviews but you still can’t decide which is better.

Here we brought you the comparison of Vitamix E310 vs E320. The article aims to give you a clearer vision of both of them and help you decide which of these models from the Explorian series suits you best.

Vitamix E310 vs E320 Comparison Table

Both of the models are Vitamix products. The aim of this series is to offer variety in bringing two affordable high-performance versions. You know that both of them are budget-friendly models. They are the cheapest choice you can make from the entire Vitamix collection.

This doesn’t mean that their performance is not as compelling as those of their premium counterparts. In fact, the designers of the product seem to aim higher in terms of performance. This is not the case with the more expensive C-series by Vitamix.

Let’s dive into the details of both models…

Vitamix E310 vs E320

Vitamix E310

The Vitamix 750 will transform your kitchen with features like a 2.2 peak horsepower motor, stainless steel blade, BPA-free plastic housing, and a 2-piece Santoprene rubber lid with a removable plug to add ingredients easily as you blend.

Vitamix doesn’t just make good smoothies; it will change the way you think about food.

And with a 64 oz jug, BPA-free Eastman Tritan copolyester, and Five programmed settings for smoothies, hot soups, puree, desserts, and self-cleaning, you’ll be making the healthiest food possible for you and your family.

Vitamix E320

The powerful motor and larger blades are among the biggest highlights of the Vitamix E320 product. The consistency in the performance of the E320 is an advantage. Even so, the general performance is much or less like the previous model.

What is Similar Between Vitamix E310 And E320

We are about to take a look at some of the similar aspects between these blenders in the section below. Users label them as entry-level blenders. Being such affordable and commercial units makes their use pretty wide.

Unlike the premium option, they won’t have any frill and frays for their buy. Even so, they have extraordinary features which are going to give you an excellent product.

As we are talking about the highest echelon of entry-level blenders, this is the place where many reviewers put these products. Many will buy them as their first blenders ever.

Both Are Budget-Friendly

We should mention that these blenders do not have the same price. Even so, when you make a comparison with the prices of other blenders on the market, this series will be the best solution.

You may buy any of these without the necessity to spend an extraordinary amount of money. The only dilemma you may encounter is the lay-out and the fitting of the blenders in your home environment.

Layout

Looking at the design, both of them are pretty identical. The main reason for this is their belonging to the “Next Generation” release. This one is different from the ordinary G-series.

Other Features

The company is proud of this updated design of the series launched back in 2012. When compared to its predecessor it has a much wider design with excellent chopping performance. The muffling capability and the cooling of the motor are also an improvement.

Being an upgraded series it comes with a 4-inch blade. This is different from the 3-inch blade which is a part of the C-Series.

As we mentioned earlier, the general performance of both products is satisfactory. When it comes to the main one – blending, both of them show rather identical capabilities.

We assume that soup is one of the most popular dishes made with such equipment. Besides that one, these blenders are quite effective in making delicate smoothies. Other delicacies include frozen desserts, nut butter, flour, and even ice cream.

Along with the excellent price, these models are a staple in a large part of households. The main reason contributing to this is the variety of consumables you can produce with them.

The cooling systems of these models are so well designed that they prevent overheating. Despite having cooling fans, they also feature heat sensors that lead to an automatic turn-off when the temperature rises too much.

One of the slight shortcomings is that you’ll have to wait for 20 minutes in case the blender overheats itself. After the cooling break, you may resume using it for blending food.

Differences between Vitamix E320 and E310

One of the most striking differences between these two blender models is the size/jar capacity. This may not be a great problem if the products are not used very often. The larger one E320 uses a 64-oz container, while the E310 model utilizes a 48-oz.

The E310 model has a quite smaller jar and will be a great fit under all cabinets. This one is suitable for blending smaller and single-serve portions since it has a much narrower base.

But, the E320 jar is much larger. This one will fit well only under much larger cabinets. Even so, this model has a larger bottom which will let you serve at least two cups at a time.

The buyer should consider that the bigger doesn’t mean the better. Each model has its advantages and shortcomings. Although the E320 model is terrible at making blends for a single serving, it would be excellent for larger portions.

It is not an easy job to decide which of these models is better. You may understand this only if you use both of them for a longer time. It all comes to what you plan to blend. As the larger E320 can cater for family-sized blends, the E310 makes small blends for personal use.

If you return to the quality of blending, we must admit that the motors of the units show big similarities. The smaller model features a 2.0 horsepower motor which is also present in the Vitamix 5200.

For instance, the larger E320 model contains a more powerful 2.2 horsepower motor. The engine of this one is the same in the Vitamix 750 model. Now let’s try to figure out what this difference means in practice. It won’t take you a long time to realize that the larger model is stronger, but only in theory.

Both of these models will handle anything you throw at them when it comes to actual performance. This is their main advantage to other models of this class. You will see little to no difference between 2 and 2.2 horsepower blenders.

The actual performance is not too different despite the 10% increase in power on the E320 model. Even the most sensitive users won’t be able to make a distinction about the performance of the two units.

This makes their difference negligible. You can also make anything you wish with either blender. This implies dishes beginning from a wide range of soup to the hard blocks of cheese.

The excellent design of the blades is one of the best characteristics of both models. The Vitamix E320 model comes with a 10% increase in horsepower, as we have mentioned before. The main reason for the increase is that the previous model contains a pitcher with a much wider base.

This particularly extended area is the reason the E320 has a particularly larger set of blades – 4 inches. This is in contrast to the 3-inch blades on the E310. To help drive the larger blades with ease, an extra horsepower became a feature of the E320.

Both models have the possibility to operate at different speeds. They also feature control settings which are identical on both of them. Alongside the mentioned pulse control, each of these blenders comes with ten variable speeds.

Everyone who has used a blender in his life knows that variable speeds are very important. This feature becomes critical when the user aims not to turn the blend completely into the liquid.

This is one of the most important features when users want to prepare food such as pesto, salsa, or different types of salads. The absence of variable speed control may ease your way with quick pulsing. One of the shortcomings to this is the limited control.

Yet, both models contain a set of ten different speeds. This will help you get the best texture for your food. Additionally, as the blending possibilities are huge the setting will give the power and control into your hands.

People who want to buy products for home use are always taking into account the noise made by the household equipment. It would be pretty deceitful to say that models which generate noises around 90 decibels are quiet. This is especially true for the domestic environment.

Both units become noisy when used for blending high foods, especially at high speed. A good alternative offering less noisy performance is the older version of the G-series blenders – the Vitamix 5300.

When it comes to controls both products have several limitations, including the number of features. This is due to their budget-friendliness. Since both of the products are the types without frill they include very easy controls and a useful layout.

Like the older designs of Vitamix, the E310 and E320 models have very simple control features. Among them, we have the on/off button, pulse switch, and the variable speed dial. In general, the use of both products is a piece of cake.

The entire experience you are going to have with each of them is pleasant.

Stand-Out Features

The design, motor power, control features, and functionality are similar in both blenders. These models differ only according to the type of blades, motors, and containers they use. The E310 model has a narrow bottom with a container capacity of 48 oz. That part has an inbuilt 3 inches WET blade system. In comparison, the E320 model has a container with 64 oz capacity and blades of 4 inches.

Many users may find this difference negligible at first sight. The best advice from us is that the E310 blender is a better solution if you are living in a small house. In comparison, if you prepare food for more than 4 people every day than the E320 set is a better option. This is still not the whole story. Experts on the topic know that Vitamix designed its blenders with narrow bottom containers and 3-inches blades. This was regardless of the jar capacity.

The initial releases of the company were low profile blenders with a 64 oz wide bottoms. These models belonged to the Next Generation series. A twist happened since some veteran users began complaining about the dropping quality of the blenders by Vitamix. The whole problem laid in the low profile wide bottom jugs with 64 oz capacity.

They could not process small batches of food so well as the narrow bottom models did.

There may be a situation when you want to achieve a comparable quality of food blending in a wide bottom jug. The solution is to process one and a half cups of ingredients in a narrow bottom jar with four cups of ingredients. We presume that a large part of households will try to prepare different types of small recipes with the blender models. These may include frozen desserts, baby food, nut butter, mayonnaise, salad dressings, etc.

We tell this group of users to buy 64 oz wide bottom containers alongside an extra smaller bottom jar with 48 oz or even 32 oy capacity. This will maintain the fine blending quality.

One thing you should know is that with buying the E310 model you receive better adaptability of small recipes. This is because it contains a narrow bottom container,

This is not true for the E320 models which have a wider bottom container.

Tip: You may also disassemble the jar’s components and hand-wash each one.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Vitamix 750 can technically do this. However, don’t. The blender will pulverize and blend ingredients. Yes, you can do batters and dough in the Vitamix G-Series. However, for bread, cookies, cakes, etc. you will require a more delicate touch when making these items with the Vitamix 750.

If you blend a sugar cookie recipe, for example, they won’t puff and you will have little hard, brittle cookie discs. The Vitamix will keep your cookies soft.

The second redesign of the Vitamix 750 became the 7500. Two small differences: the base station is now full stainless steel and an extra noise dampening shield was added

Cooking meals that traditionally require a deep fryer, such as fried chicken, mozzarella sticks, or eggrolls, is an option. You can cook stuff like these in an air fryer while using very little oil and still getting crispy results. For marinated salmon, you might even use an air fryer.

Consider the following; even though using an air fryer reduces the amount of oil used in cooking, it is still important to remember that eating a healthier, more balanced diet will increase your overall health.

You can make all your favorite smoothie recipes in the Vitamix 750 and the Vitamix 7500, but you’ll have to watch closely and use only the pulse option until you get the desired cut you are looking for. However, it won’t be uniform and there will be pulp and blended portions. If this bothers you, stick to a knife and cutting board.

Both the 750 and 7500 Vitamix models come with a six-foot power cord, which should more than accommodate your countertop designs.

Final Verdict

There are many situations when Explorian E320 and E310 can be your solution. They are fine if you aim to buy a no-brainer but excellent class blender for the lowest amount of money. You will be pretty satisfied with this high-performing machine which functions as well as other blenders by Vitamix.

They are unlike other more expensive Vitamix models because they lack “bells and whistles”. They are quite simple and straightforward. According to many reviews, they are a choice between blenders for large and small houses.

The Explorian E310 model is an excellent suit for smaller families with one to four people. This is due to the 48 oz container which is particularly useful for smaller amounts of food.

The Vitamix 7500 is perfect for making smoothies and other recipes that require a lot of power. The 2.2 HP motor runs at 20% higher than the Vitamix 5200. It’s great if you plan to make smoothies, dressings, or even sauces regularly.

The 64-ounce pitcher holds 4 times more than the regular blenders and is made of BPA-free Eastman Tritan Copolymer material.
